Search Union County Traffic Court

Start a Union County traffic court matter at the court named on your citation, backed by that citation number. The District Court there keeps the traffic docket, and a record can show the charge, your plea, court dates, docket activity, the outcome, and costs. This is not the same as the state driver file. Before you pay or ask for a hearing, make sure the citation truly belongs to the Union County District Court and read the terms attached to each choice. Try the online docket first, then call or visit the clerk when a ticket is new, an event seems missing, or a appearance is required.

Traffic Case Records in Union County

Union County's state District Court is the El Dorado Department. It appears in the Arkansas Judiciary directory. Traffic matters land there. So do misdemeanors, ordinance violations, preliminary felony proceedings, limited civil matters, and small claims. You will find the court at 250 American Road #A in El Dorado. The clerk's number is 870-864-1950. El Dorado, Smackover, Norphlet, Junction City, and Huttig run no separate active municipal court departments. They have none of their own.

Read the court printed on the ticket every time. A traffic case record belongs to that court. The town where you were stopped does not control it. For a Union District Court case, the District Court Clerk holds the docket. Search ARCourts can display the citation number, charge, violation date, plea, future events, docket lines, disposition, and judge. That works when the lower court feeds it data. Some district records and fields stay offline.

Union County Traffic Court Custodian

American Road is where a Union County traffic court record starts. The District Court Clerk keeps this limited-jurisdiction docket. It is not the Circuit Clerk or County/Probate Clerk. Knowing that saves you a wrong-counter trip. Circuit Clerk Suite 201 handles circuit matters, while County Clerk Suite 102 handles probate records.

The citation controls if it names another court. Never assume a city hall or general county office will take a plea, payment, or traffic record request.

Union County Traffic Ticket Lookups

Have the citation number handy when you can. Search ARCourts takes a case or citation number, and its participant mode can search by name. The separate payment portal serves a different purpose and lists only participating courts.

  1. Read the ticket for the exact issuing court, citation number, and appearance date.
  2. Open Search ARCourts, choose Cases, enter the citation number, and narrow to Union County when needed.
  3. If the citation number is unavailable, try Participants by name. Compare the court, case type, and filing details before opening a result.
  4. For a payment inquiry, inspect the Court dropdown in Arkansas Online Court Payment. Union County participation was not confirmed, so do not assume it will appear.
  5. If the record is missing, call the issuing court. For the documented Union District Court, call 870-864-1950 or use its American Road counter.
  6. Confirm the current date, whether appearance is required, the available response choices, and any amount directly with the clerk.

Union traffic requests have no posted mail, email, fax, drop-box, or public-terminal process. Call the court before sending documents, identification, or payment through any unconfirmed channel.

The Arkansas citation query asks for a participating court, a name, and one of two identifying paths. Open it only after you know the issuing court.

The portal draws a clear line between locating a payable citation and searching the full traffic court record.

Going past the query can lead to a plea and payment. So the portal is no neutral substitute for Search ARCourts or a call to the clerk.

Traffic Court Dates in Union County

Begin with the appearance date printed on the citation. Then run the citation or case number. One official interface example is 10CR-09-100. Check Future Events plus the newest docket entries. That sample shows a court-assigned search format, not a promised Union County traffic citation pattern. Phone the court to confirm the date before you travel.

Citation NumberThe identifier printed on the ticket and used for the narrowest search.
CourtThe issuing court that holds the traffic case and controls the setting.
Date & TimeThe appearance or later hearing setting, checked against newer entries.
LocationThe court location actually published. A courtroom is not guaranteed online.
Event TypeThe kind of setting or event description supplied by the court.
StatusCurrent case status when published, not a substitute for the latest order.

A continuance or reset moves a setting but keeps earlier history visible. The later order, or the newest future event, controls over an old date.

New Union County Traffic Tickets

The Arkansas eTraffic explanation says a new citation may take up to one week to appear. A short delay never means the ticket is invalid or that nothing is due. Keep the paper citation and follow its appearance date. The official eTraffic page also covers payment scope and appearance cautions.

Call the issuing court if a week-old ticket still will not appear. Ask whether it has been entered, whether appearance is mandatory, and what response options exist. Lost-ticket questions go there too. Portal tech support is separate and cannot decide a case. For payment help, dial 501-410-1900, option 1, or 800-950-8221. Neither line answers appearance or plea questions. While electronic data is still posting, the paper citation's court and date still matter.

Paying a Ticket vs Fighting It

Paying and fighting a ticket are different legal choices. Arkansas Online Court Payment takes Visa, Discover, and MasterCard. It charges the full amount plus a service charge. Paying online waives appearance and trial. The court treats it as a guilty or no-contest plea. DWI and certain other violations demand an appearance and cannot simply be paid online.

Paying the CitationContesting the Citation
Use only if the correct court and citation appear and the payer intends the stated plea and waiver.Follow the issuing court's instructions for a plea, appearance, hearing, or trial.
The portal adds a service charge and requires the whole amount.Ask the clerk about the individual citation; no Union-wide contest procedure was published.
Some offenses cannot be paid online and require appearance.Do not miss the citation's response or appearance date while awaiting instructions.

Missed Date or Payment: Nonpayment before the court date plus nonappearance can lead to a failure-to-appear warrant, driver-license suspension, and added fines or costs. Contact the issuing court promptly.

Union County posts no official fine schedule, deferred-disposition policy, driving-safety eligibility rule, or general response deadline beyond the citation. Ask the clerk for case-specific terms.

Union County Traffic Choices Differ

Searching, paying, and appearing are not the same act. A Search ARCourts query only reads public case data. A payment can enter a plea and waive trial. An appearance follows the court's directive and may be mandatory. No single click can safely cover all three tasks.

  • Search to identify the case, docket lines, and next published event.
  • Pay only after reading the portal terms and deciding to accept their stated effect.
  • Appear when the citation or court directs it, including for DWI or another appearance-required violation.
  • Call the clerk when the portal lacks the court, ticket, local choice, or current date.

Union's place in the state payment dropdown is not confirmed. A missing selection never authorizes another court's portal, and it never changes the date printed on the citation.

Two Records: Court File and Driver File

Traffic cases and driving histories live in two separate places. The Union County District Court Clerk holds the court docket for the traffic case itself. The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration Driver Services keeps an entirely different file. That file tracks the driver record and violation history. Knowing which office holds which record simply points you to the right place to ask.

Neither file stands in for the other. If an online court result is missing, the cause could be district coverage gaps, a delay, sealing, older data, or a simple search mismatch.

Union County Traffic Enforcement Entries

Codes D45 and D53 show up on the DFA side. The DFA violation-code page lists D45 for failure to appear for trial or court. It also lists D53 for failure to pay fines or costs. Both carry zero points and stay on the driver record for three years. For the court side of fines and enforcement, the Arkansas District Court Benchbook lays out the rules. It shows how district courts handle them. Zero points does not wipe out a court consequence. A failure-to-appear entry in the Union County court docket still matters. The DFA page belongs to the driver-file office rather than the Union County court clerk.

Union County traffic court distinction from Arkansas DFA violation records

Ask the court what happened in the traffic case. Ask DFA what the driver file shows. Amounts can include penalties, costs, restitution, or specified supervision fees, and if inability to pay is claimed, the court may address ability to pay.

Traffic Record Copy Fees

Union District Court posts no traffic-copy fee schedule and no online certified-copy checkout. The Circuit Clerk does publish amounts under a recording-fee block, but those rates apply to recording work, not to a District Court traffic file. Before ordering, ask the issuing clerk about availability, page count, certification choice, total cost, payment method, and delivery.

A free Search ARCourts printout is informational only, not a certified record. When you need official proof of a disposition or docket entry, request it from the clerk who maintains the traffic case.

Union County Traffic Docket Fields

Search ARCourts uses a wide traffic and criminal case schema. A public Union County record may include the case or citation number. Case type shows up too. So do filing date, court location, and judge. Participants, charge description, and violation date can appear too. The record can also hold the plea, event sequence, future setting, and docket code and text. Sentence milestones, disposition, judgment, and linked public documents can appear as well. Not every case shows every field.

Citation number
The ticket identifier used to locate a lower-court citation.
Plea
The recorded response to the charge, which may include guilty, not guilty, or no contest when allowed.
Disposition
The recorded outcome of a charge or case.
Future event
A published upcoming setting that should be checked for later resets.
Docket entry
A dated filing or action line in the traffic case history.

Public access to court records runs through Arkansas Administrative Order 19. Some material stays out of view. Sealed or expunged case information, Social Security numbers, specified account and PIN data, and certain protected addresses are excluded. A missing line or case can reflect a lawful restriction rather than proof that no record exists. Read charges and outcomes separately. An allegation is not a disposition. A listed event is not an order, and a payment screen is not the full case file.
